Taozi Tree Yoga is a true gem in the Beijing yoga and wellness scene. Voted BEST Yoga studio of the year by That's Beijing (Editors pick) 2019, it truly has a special feeling, and is a welcoming yoga home for our vibrant community.
Whether you want to breathe into a rigorous Vinyasa flow or settle into a restorative sound healing, Taozi's schedule is well-rounded and robust enough to support a multifaceted approach to your yoga practice. You'll find a diverse range of offerings including Vinyasa classes for all levels, Ashtanga, Kundalini, Restorative, and Meditation classes.
In addition to our diverse classes, we also offer teacher trainings, workshops in a wide variety of topics ranging from Ayurveda to Tarot to Reiki, off-site corporate/embassy/school classes and workshops, and renowned community events including Yoga in the Park, Yoga in the City and Beijing Bliss Fest.

♥ BEGINNER'S VINYASA
初级流瑜伽
Suitable for beginning yoga students or those looking to refresh their yoga skills. In this class, you'll learn the basics of the asana (posture) practice used in Vinyasa classes. Vinyasa means "to-flow" in Sanskrit and you'll learn how to break down the postures used in this practice like Downward Facing Dog and Triangle Pose safely and effectively. We'll move more slowly in this class and will skip some of the more challenging postures that can frustrate beginning students.

Suitable for all levels with modifications. As you mindfully integrate movement and breath, this Vinyasa class is aimed at the seasoned beginner and intermediate practitioners who are ready to expand their yoga practice. These classes begin to encourage practitioners to explore getting upside-down and may incorporate some arm balances and deeper backbends. We recommend that students seeking to take these classes feel confident, safe, and strong throughout classic sun salutations.

♥ DEEP STRETCH

Suitable for all levels. This class emphasizes postures to stretch, release, and open the major muscle groups in the body. You'll access the deeper connective tissues such as the fascia. Expect to be seated, lying down, and supported with props for much of the class. Slow, deep, long holding stretches can gently open the tense parts of your body, ease the mind, and help you connect deeper with your inner self. Lean in, breathe deep and stretch deep!

♥ POWER VINYASA

A stronger flow for those with intermediate to advanced yoga experience. This is a strong, flowing, heat building class in which students are challenged more deeply on both a physical and psychological level. While more physically advanced yoga postures (asanas) are introduced to the practice like inversions and arm balances. A deeper understanding and involvement of basic asanas are cultivated and encouraged.
适合具有一定瑜伽习练基础人士。在课程编排当中更加侧重力量的流动,创造更多的能量,带给身体和心理层面积极的挑战。课程当中会引入更具力量的瑜伽体式,例如倒立和手臂支撑。建议对瑜伽基础体式具有一定了解或希望精进体式练习的人士参加。

Vinyasa Level 1/2 class with a focus on the muscles of the core. This quick-paced, energetic class is a great workout and a fun way to approach a Vinyasa practice for those that like a more active class.

♥ RESTORATIVE YOGA
理疗修复瑜伽
Suitable for all levels. Our bodies have an innate ability to relax given the right circumstances. Restorative yoga uses a series of easy, supported poses held for a long time under the right conditions (including the use of many props) to tip the balance from "fight or flight" mode into maximum relaxation. Yogis developed these poses over many years, but science tells us that, under the conditions set in restorative yoga, immediate effects on heart rate, blood pressure, and brain activity are possible. Emphasis on complete muscular relaxation and comfort are emphasized to achieve a quiet state of mind and body.

Suitable for expectant mothers. Please seek the attention of your doctor for advice on whether yoga is suitable for you during pregnancy. These classes prepare a woman physically, emotionally and spiritually for the precipitation of labor and specific physical postures, a woman begins to create a strong and flexible body and mindset that will help her through this special time. Prenatal yoga poses support the nervous system. Naturally calming, yoga instills trust in one's body and it's ability to birth. Come meet other moms-to-be and share In this nurturing environment. This class is open to all stages of pregnancy.

Suitable for all levels. Kundalini Yoga is a technology comprised of thousands of kriyas and meditations each with a specific desired outcome. They stimulate the glandular system and the parasympathetic nervous system. Kundalini Yoga works the entire nervous and glandular system and awakens the full potential of human awareness in each individual.

Ashtanga is an athletic flow combining strength, flexibility, and stamina for a complete practice. If you like a strong power yoga or vinyasa class then you should find this challenging and rewarding.

After an initial intake, we will cater our courses to fit what you specifically would like to work on whether it be alignment, breathwork, meditation, a specific pose, or perhaps you just want a keen eye on you for the full hour practice to offer consistent feedback and help you improve overall. Whatever your reasons for wanting some personal attention, we are here for you.

♥ Which classes are suitable for beginners?
什么课程适合初学者?
Take a look through the class descriptions for an idea of what each class is like. In general, Beginner's Vinyasa, Vinyasa Level 1/2 classes, Restorative, Yin, Deep Stretch, and Kundalini are good classes to look for as a beginner. Know that you may need to modify some poses as you build strength and flexibility. Let the teacher know if you need assistance in any of the modifications.

Yes, mats are available free-of-charge in the studio. If you can, bring your own mat.

7 Day passes include any regular class in the studio. 7 Day passes do not include Yoga in the Park Hyatt, Yoga in the City or special events and workshops. 10, 30 and 50 class passes include any regular class in the studio and Yoga in the Park Hyatt. They do not include special events or workshops. 50 class passes receive 20% off all workshops and special events.

♥ I have an injury or an old injury. Should I practice yoga?

Consult your doctor and get cleared for a physical practice then decide for yourself whether or not you are ready. Know that yoga is for everybody and can be very therapeutic for the body, mind and spirit while facing physical discomfort in the body. Inform your Instructor of any issues you may be experiencing, for example: back, neck, shoulder or knee pain, blood pressure issues or pregnancy. We offer a wide range of classes for all body types.

♥ Do I need to sign up before class?

Please sign up through the mini-program for all classes you will attend and cancel the class at least one hour before if you can not make it.

♥ I'm not flexible. Should I practice yoga?

Absolutely! In fact, you are the perfect candidate for yoga. Give it a try and over time you will notice that yoga helps you to become more flexible.
Everybody is different, so never feel the need to practice poses exactly like the teacher: she or he is only there as a guide (and has been practicing yoga for a long time). Listen to your body, don't force yourself and stay within your limits. Also, like any other exercise program, please consult your doctor before beginning to practice yoga.
